This is so much more than a book about money. It's about life! For over 40 years I have heard Rick say, 'If you want what the Bible says you can have, then you have to do what it says to do.' Rick and Nancy have built their lives according to God's ways, and His blessing is reflected in every part of it. If you want the same, start here!

God's Way to Manage Money is an excellent read. It is a biblical approach to managing your finances. No matter what your current financial position is right now, whether you are living debt-free, or are just trying to make ends meet, this book has something for you.

Pastor Rick engages the reader with insight into God’s Word and opens their understanding to Biblical truths as they relate to finances. He unlocks the meaning of many scriptures and ties them together in a cohesive understanding of how God desires to bless them as they properly handle their finances. His use of illustrations and real-life examples, many from his own experience, make for an interesting and valuable read.

Having been both a personal friend and a member of Rick Collins’ congregation for 40 years, I can say with confidence that Rick is a man who practices what he preaches. My husband and I have heard the messages in this book taught in person and we have seen the blessings of applying these financial principles in Rick’s life and in ours. That is why I am excited to promote his first book so that many others can benefit from this practical application of the timeless truths and sound biblical wisdom found in its pages!

Pastor Rick Collins has penned a valuable book on how to understand God's principles on money, finances and personal health. He shares some very personal hard life lessons and then takes the time to explain how to avoid all the pain and suffering that come with following the world's view of wealth and greed. I personally found this book hard to put down as I anxiously awaited the next chapter and the wisdom I would glean from reading and applying the lessons. This is a must-read for young adults, young married couples and anyone who has found their spending out of control. The suggestions are easy to read and apply and they have been proven over a 30-year period.

I have known Rick for over 40 years and have watched him pour his heart and soul into understanding and teaching God's Word and helping anyone willing to listen find God's best for their life. This book is an accumulation of his understanding of God's way of handling money. Anyone who reads and applies the principles put forth in the book will; without exception, experience financial blessings in their life. Get ready to change your approach to money!

I was on a church board 20 years ago for 10 years. Your statement in the book (below) was exactly what was happening there. I realized our pastor was seriously underpaid. He had a church provided house but he did all of the upgrading and renovations himself on his day off! It was bad. There were many older members on the board who sought to keep him at a very low wage. I began a strong campaign to get him a realistic salary over the course of the next 5 years. It was a battle I eventually won but with much opposition. One elder told me my sole goal was to make Pastor Chris rich!!! Wow, the poor guy was preaching alone and doing everything by himself! God did honor that and the church did in fact prosper. Many souls were saved there and it was a good body to be a part of. I wish I had your book back then!!!
“It was almost as though God was saying, “Ha, at last, I can trust you to do what My Word says.” If you go to the book of Isaiah, you'll find that one of the things God hates is employers who do not pay their employees appropriately, who take advantage of their workers. And one of the things that I began to see, as I was studying this, is that churches are notorious for taking advantage of those who labor among them. Those who say they can’t afford to pay more, don’t have faith to believe that if they do what the Bible says, God will reward them. When we do what God says, His blessing comes instead of His curse. By focusing on our mission and increasing our wage-earning capacity for our employees, we realized the truth of Paul’s words from 1 Timothy 5:17-18 - that the farmer also gets to benefit from his labor and his crop. What the Bible teaches is that you reward people for their production, not for their time. A person is worth and should be paid on the basis of what they produce, not the hours they put in. And so, one of the things that I had to start realizing is, as the leader of an organization, I had to look at people who are producing and reward them appropriately. We pay for success, not failure.” (God's Way to Manage Money)
